VentiSorb is available in two different colour options, giving clear visual indications of the level of active soda lime remaining available for CO₂ absorption. both conforming to International Standards. When exhausted, VentiSorb will change colour, indicating that the soda lime needs to be replaced. This should be used alongside CO₂ monitoring to confirm compound exhaustion.

Details

Soda lime absorbs carbon dioxide and water vapour and deteriorates rapidly unless kept in airtight containers. Medically, soda lime is used to absorb carbon dioxide in basal metabolism tests and in rebreathing anaesthesia systems. In gas masks it is an absorbent for toxic gases.
