We will continue to sell all sizes of Hibiscrub® over the coming weeks, and as each size runs out, the new Hibiwash® will be made available for you to purchase. You will see a note on the product listing that directs you to the new version, which will be listed as an alternative product.
Top Tip: Don't forget to add Hibiwash® to your favourites list for ease of ordering!
So, What are the Differences?
Hibiwash® has the same active ingredients as Hibiscrub®
which means the efficacy is the same too!
Colour-Free
Fragrance-Free
Soya Oil-Fre
The removal of colour, fragrance and traces of soya oil makes Hibiwash® less likely to create skin irritation or an allergic reaction, and has the potential of increased compliance.

What is Hibiwash®?
Hibiwash® is an antimicrobial full body wash with 4% Chlorhexidine Gluconate and emollients, designed to keep patients' skin protected from a wide range of microorganisms while being gentle on the skin.
Hibiwash® is your trusted partner in helping prevent infections, promote skin's integrity and save time before performing surgical procedures. It contains 4% Chlorhexidine Gluconate for a wide range of antimicrobial activity [1], [2] and has been used for many decades in hospitals.
Regular use of Hibiwash® can help reduce the chance of 11 in 100 patients contracting an SSI up to 30 days after surgery. [3]
Hibiwash® is not absorbed into the skin but binds to it to form a protective layer that removes and kills microorganisms and continues to do so for a long period of time after application. [5], [6], [7] Unlike Povidone Iodine, Hibiwash® is not inactivated by bodily fluids. [8]
Hibiwash® has been reformulated to be a more sustainable product, using fewer raw materials and less energy in its production. The removal of colour, fragrance and traces of soya oil makes it less likely to create skin irritation or an allergic reaction and has the potential of an increased compliance. It also contains emolients and is gentle on the skin, even with frequent use.
